What do you miss about life before kids? Being a parent is absolutely wonderful, and I constantly count my blessings (seriously, I love, love, love being a mom, and I wouldn’t have it any other way). Let’s be real though: life after kids is different. There must be a part of every parent that misses certain things about life before becoming a parent, right?
The thing I miss most? Playing World of Warcraft.
I played for years, on and off from 2007. I stopped playing, unfortunately (or fortunately?) before I got pregnant …my life in Azeroth required a pretty big time commitment. I spent hours and hours and hours exploring the world, questing, and going on raids, and a small part of me really misses it. (And watching Game of Thrones or anything else related to fantasy/hero/epic settings makes the longing worse). A much, much bigger part of me recognizes that even if I weren’t a parent, it’s probably healthier that I’m no longer spending hours and hours and hours playing. 🙂
Anyway, there’s no denying that once you become a parent, you have a lot less free time. (Understatement of the year). So, I’m curious… For the other parents out there, what are some things you used to do before becoming a parent that you miss doing now? Or, more generally:

(The movie was horrible, by the way. But it was such a good WoW fix that I still enjoyed watching it. Twice.)
